Happy Monday, everybody!
Here's a quick nail art post to kick off the week, featuring some bright and happy shades from Zoya.
This look was fairly easy to achieve with the use of a dotting tool. The base color is Zoya Jacqueline, while the flowers were made using Zoya Breezi for the petals and Zoya Pippa for the centers.
I liked how Jacqueline as a base color gave this look a very antique-y, but delicate feel.
The flowers maybe took me about fifteen minutes in total and most of that time was spent dipping and cleaning the dotting tool so that there wasn't a build up of thick, gooey polish.
What do you think of this look? Is this something you'd be willing to try yourself?

Swatch and Review: Zoya Tickled Polka Dots
After featuring nail art for the Zoya Bubbly collection, I felt it was only appropriate to feature nail art using the Zoya Tickled collection today!
Again, I wanted to go for a fun and funky feel and with these shades from the collection, it was not a problem!
All polka dots were made using Zoya Kitridge. From thumb to pinky finger, the shades in order are Wendy, Ling, Tilda, Rooney, and Rocha.
Zoya Kitridge is a summer bubblegum cream.
Zoya Ling is a vibrant royal blue cream polish.
Zoya Tilda is a warm mantis green cream.
Zoya Wendy is a juicy summer melon polish.
Zoya Rooney is a mid-range magenta pink cream.
Zoya Rocha is a folly red cream polish.
All of these polishes were opaque with two coats, while Kitridge was fairly opaque with one coat for the dots, so I imagine it would be opaque for full coverage in two, as well.
The entire Tickled collection is available at Zoya.com for $9 per bottle. You can also find Zoya at your local Ulta store.
Are you going to be picking up any of the Bubbly shades? And do you love these as much as I do?

Birthday Floral Nails
Happy Hump Day! The week is halfway over... don't stress yourself too much!
I never had the confidence to try the shabby-chic floral look. But after seeing a manicure from The Crumpet, I changed my mind and took a stab at it. (Also, after failing miserable in trying to do a water marble featuring Cult Nails Time Traveler, which left my hands stained navy blue for a night after it went terribly wrong. Oops.)

Review: It's So Easy Saturday - Watermelon Nails
Happy Saturday! Another It's So Easy Saturday is upon us and I shifted a little bit away from the fabulous Stripe Rite paints and moved onto one of my passions in life: RHINESTONES!
Here was the end result of my watermelon nails! I used a glitter green foil (Zoya Ivanka) for the tips and a bright pink for the flesh of the fruit (Rimmel Posh Pink) and of course, the Stripe Rite paints for the seeds. On the ring finger, I thought it'd be cool to do an accent nail with the rhinestones instead because this shape looked JUST like seeds!
So what do you think of my version of Watermelon Nails? They've been a hit at work so far! :-D
Visit the It's So Easy website at www.itssoeasynails.com for more information on the variety of products and retailers near you. Be sure to also check out their Facebook, Instagram at @ItsSoEasyNails, Twitter, and Pinterest pages!
Until tomorrow!

The rhinestones come in six different shapes, in multicolor and clear. I like this packaging better than the rhinestone wheels because each little section has its own tab that lifts, so I'm never disturbing more than one section.
And while I was skeptical about the rhinestone stick, with a little silicone piece at each end (large and small), it worked very well. Honestly, it was much better than the top coat method I had been using before this.

Swatch and Review: It's So Easy Saturday - Miami Stripes
Hello, everyone! For next few Saturdays, I'm going to be showing you some cool nail art with the help of It's So Easy!
Today, I'm going to show you a design I created with the help of Stripe Rite, nail art paint with a precise striper brush.
I wanted to do something that was bright and funky for summer, but that wouldn't be too over the top. So I decided to do an accent nail and looked to the old TV show, Miami Vice, for inspiration. Who does love those crazy 80's outfits, right?
This was not nearly as time consuming as you might think. I did the stripes in different colors, all using shades of Stripe Rite. Then, I separated them with a thin black stripe. I let the stripes dry for about ten minutes before drawing on the palm tree, also with the black paint.
Here, you can see how smooth the stripes dried. It wasn't bumpy to the touch or anything.
The cool thing about the It’s So Easy website is that it features a Nail Art Community. Fans can upload their nail designs, regardless of experience level, and interact with others through Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.
Finger art fanatics can have their wishes granted through the It’s So Easy Product Section by creating a personalized Wish List... perfect for birthdays and holidays! Users can select from Stripe Rites, loose glitters, cracked ice, rhinestones and more, then print or email to have their list on hand when visiting their nearest It’s So Easy store location.
Need inspiration? The growing How-To page offers quick and easy nail art tutorials that can be accomplished in a few easy steps. A What You Need list is available to help visitors create their desired look.
Visit the website at www.itssoeasynails.com for more information on the variety of products and retailers near you. Be sure to also check out their Facebook, Instagram at @ItsSoEasyNails, Twitter, and Pinterest pages!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

China Glaze Blue Iguana + Nail Art
I used to avoid China Glaze nail polishes when I was younger, stemming from an unfortunate experience in which I purchased a bottle of CG Tempest and it was an absolutely disgusting application. I'm talking gloppy and thick RIGHT out of the bottle!
So I was highly averse to China Glaze after that. But that was the early 2000's and now we're in 2011, so after reading some rave reviews and checking out an Ulta Buy 2 Get 1 free sale, I decided to hop on board the China Glaze train.
And quite frankly, I don't think I'm getting off any time soon.
So earlier this week, I decided to try out Blue Iguana from the Island Escape collection for Summer 2011. I'm a sucker for a good blue shimmer and it caught my eye right in the bottle.
The formula was 1000x times better than I'd experienced in the past, so I'm really glad I gave China Glaze another chance. It was a much lighter color on my nails than I expected and I needed three coats to get it opaque. However, it was totally worth it.
Here you can see how smooth the color applied and how bright it was after one thin coat of Seche Vite. In the picture below, you can see just how pretty the slight shimmer is.
It's not sparkly enough to term it a glitter, but it's subtle enough to be seen. Truly a beauty. And speaking of sparkles, I decided to do a little nail art and add tips in OPI DS Shimmer, a silver holo polish, and a white flower on my ring fingers.
So if you're a fan of blue polish, I'd definitely recommend Blue Iguana!
Coming up in my next post... a Mets-icure!
