Good Monday morning to you all! I hope your weekend was more enjoyable than mine. I have midterms this week, so need I say more? Didn't think so.
Before all hell broke loose and my brain became a jumble of criminal law statutes and jibberish I'm convinced doesn't actually mean anything, I had a little fun with the scattered holo shades from Zoya's brand new Ornate collection!
Here are the three shades I used (left to right): Blaze, Aurora, and Storm!
I started out with a base of Aurora and then lightly sponged Blaze from the tip of my nail to just before where the half moons start. I repeated this about two or three times per nail until I was happy with the blend. Then I sponged Storm until a little below my visible nail line. I applied Storm lightly, but dabbed polish just at the tip a few times to make it a little more opaque.
Here was the end result:
What do you guys think of the finished product? I'm in LOVE with it!

Swatch and Review: 365 Days of Color Hocus Pocus Collection
Happy Friday! (Unless you're like me... sick and studying for midterms. BLECH)
Now that Halloween is less than two weeks away, I wanted to bring you two polishes from the Hocus Pocus Collection by 365 Days of Color! BUT I had to wait until they were re-stocked so you could enjoy them too!
The Hocus Pocus Collection is named after the famed Disney movie, starring Bette Midler, a pre-SATC Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Naijimi.
So let's take a look!

Swatch and Review: Zoya Ornate Collection
It's here! It's FINALLY here! I've been so excited for this collection from the moment the press release hit my inbox.
The Zoya Ornate Collection features six shades, three scattered holographic polishes, two foils, and a bar glitter. That's a pretty awesome variety for a seasonal release, which is usually saved for the same silver, gold, green, red, blue, and white shimmer/glitter bombs from year to year.
Also... five out of the six polishes share names with superheroes. So, that's not exactly a negative for me!
Warning, this is going to be a pic-heavy post!

Nfu Oh 52 and butter LONDON Bluey
It's football Sunday... and I've already changed my mani since yesterday! Well, sort of.
On Saturday, I reviewed butter London Bluey and wasn't blown away by the color. However, not inclined to take off the polish and do it over (and let's be honest, with a research report due Monday morning at 9am), I reached for an effects top coat.
And grabbed Nfu-Oh 52!
Nfu-Oh 52 is a blue jelly base with emerald flakies. They're really multi-dimensional and change based on the shade they're layered over.
I feel like the ocean is literally on my nails.
Are you still aboard the flakie train?

Swatch and Review: butter LONDON Bluey
Happy weekend, folks!
Today, I'm rocking butter LONDON Bluey, which I received as part of a promo from Coterie.
Bluey is a dark teal shimmer polish that I was really excited for when the bottle arrived. But I was less than impressed by it on my nails. First off, the above was with three coats and you can see that there is still some visible nail line.
Secondly, while it's pretty, it's not all that unique. This might be something I swap in the future.
What do you think about Bluey? Own anything similar?
Princess Polish
And PS: Don't forget that I'm giving away a bottle of butter LONDON Disco Biscuit, a custom pink holo from my Princess Polish brand, and an Essence prize pack! Click here! It ends tonight!

Hump Day Holo Swatch and Review: butter LONDON Fishwife
Happy Hump Day!
Today's polish is a US web-exclusive from butter LONDON called Fishwife!
Fishwife is a dusty sage linear holographic polish with some major pop! It applied incredibly smooth and was opaque in just two coats, which surprised me immensely. It builds up really well.
Here is a sparkle shot so you can see how pronounced the linear holo is in actuality. If you follow my Facebook page, you know that this was stopping people in their tracks inside of a Starbucks. I repeat... INSIDE of a STARBUCKS. They're not exactly known for their bright interiors, now are they?
So what do you think of BL Fishwife? Is it your cup of tea?

PS: On the subject of butter LONDON, check out my current Breast Cancer Awareness month giveaway, where you can win Disco Biscuit amongst other prizes!

Swatch and Review: Ulta Jaded
Good morning, everyone! I'm so sorry that I've been off the grid for
the past week. I got slammed with two major assignments when I returned
from my cruise, one of which was a group project. Just to quickly sum
that one up, four girls, two who barely paid attention in class (and
could not make deadlines), one of whom wrote worse than my
twelve-year-old sister, and a TON of editing the end result on my part
made for a very unhappy and stressed out Princess Polish.
On the other had, for my second project, I finished it on Saturday at 11:30pm... 48 hours before it was due. I didn't do that in four years of undergrad, so I celebrated with a few hours of swatching!
And today, one of those swatches is the subject of my post: Ulta Jaded!
Back when this blog was first starting out, I found my very first Ulta, 45 minutes from my house. At the time, there was a clearance sale going on and I snagged Jaded for only $2.
I honestly do not know why I waited so long to wear this.
A deep, forest green, Ulta Jaded looks nearly black indoors. But hit a flash of light and BOOM! A pop of green microshimmer comes your way!
The application of the two coats was like butter with a fairly reasonable dry time. I loved it and used it as a base for a manicure later in the week!
Are you ladies feeling this fall color?
