Halloween Hangover Giveaway

Happy Weekend, everyone! I hinted at this at the start of the week, but it is now officially here!

I don't know about you, but there is leftover candy stashed all around my house. Because of Hurricane Sandy and Winter Storm Athena (let's not even get into the subject of naming winter storms), Halloween was postponed and then ultimately canceled in my town. So I've been straining to will power myself away from all of the candy. Milk Duds are my biggest kryptonite of all.

So I thought it'd be kind of cool to do a giveaway of a bunch of Halloween polish I had been planning to award through a flash giveaway on Halloween. Rather than save it for next year, I figured why not give it away now?

Swatch and Review: NYC Penn Station

Good afternoon, everyone! This is just a quick post today with a little red to get us into the holiday spirit as Black Friday approaches. Be sure to also check out my first post in the How to Save Big This Holiday Season series!

NYC Penn Station is a berry red creme with a hint of shimmer. It applied beautifully in two quotes and dried pretty quickly. It's a nice little red to keep in your collection at an affordable price of $1.99. Of course, I love it because it's named after a place I spent probably 1/8th of my life in!

I did a little abstract swiping with a white nail art paint just because I felt a little fancy today. Hehe.

Until tomorrow!

How to Save Big This Holiday Season: Part 1 - Ebates

Hi everyone!

With Black Friday 8 days away, and the holiday shopping season rapidly approaching, I thought it would be nice to do a series of posts for the next few days about how to save money.

Today, I'm featuring a site called e-bates. It's something I've mentioned before on the Facebook page and if you do online shopping a lot, you have no excuse for not partaking in this. No, seriously. You don't.

To enroll in their free program, you go to Ebates.com and sign up. From there, you can click through to most major online retailers and do your normal shopping. After you place an order, you are automatically awarded a certain percentage of cash back to your Ebates bank.

Each retailer has a different percentage they offer. For example: Apple offers 1% (that's $5 bucks right there on an iPad), Ulta and Sephora give 4%, and ProFlowers offers 12%. Even travel companies offer cash back and that's a really opportunity to make back some money. Have you looked at air travel lately? (Let's just say my family booked our flights to Florida Christmas week and I found $36 in my savings. You do the math!)

And BONUS: They not only let you use coupon codes, each retailer page on Ebates list ALL AVAILABLE COUPON CODES! How convenient is that?

I also HIGHLY recommend this for Black Friday shopping online. I know that I personally spend the most money on Black Friday, so it's my biggest chance to make money back. And if you have a cash back credit card, you're basically doubling that money. It's pretty cool.

Right now, Ebates is offering a promo that upon your first purchase of $25 or more (um, really? I drop that at Ulta alone in twenty minutes), you automatically get your choice of $10 gift cards. Easy, right?

Please note: You MUST click through Ebates to whatever online retailer you shop through in order to get the credit. It might help to set it as a homepage on your internet browser.

So really, if you shop online, there's no excuse to be lazy and not get cash back. What are you waiting for? Go get your $10 gift card and start collecting your cash back today! I know it doesn't seem like a lot now, but you'll be surprised after Christmas passes just how much you earned. Especially if you're an online shopping addict.

Tomorrow, I'll be sharing all of my Black Friday tips for you late night/early morning shoppers out there!

Do you think this will help you out this holiday season? Let me know!

Swatch and Review: Whimsical Ideas by Pam Seuss for World Diabetes Day

Hi everyone! Today's a brief post in honor of World Diabetes Day and I must send out a big thank you to Victoria of Manicurator for this polish. She sent it to me as part of my birthday group this month!

Seuss by Whimsical Ideas by Pam is a milky turquoise polish with blue microglitter and red and silver hexagonal glitters suspended inside! This is with three coats and it applied beautifully.

I. Love. This.

Why?

Because it reminds me of my very own Thing 1 and Thing 2, of course! Red, blue, and silver... The Cat in the Hat? How could it be anything else! :-D

Polishes from Whimsical by Pam are available through her Facebook page and retail for $10 per bottle.

Tell me... how are you more obsessed with the polish? Or my dogs' costumes? I'm having trouble deciding for myself!

Nailtini Speakeasy Collection

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Today, I'm bringing you the newest collection of polishes from 'Tini Beauty's Nailtini brand! You may remember how much I loved their Cocktail Napkins (polish remover pads) from my last Nailtini post! I'm still obsessed and no one else is allowed to use them!

And how adorable... it's called the Speakeasy Collection! The collection consists of two cremes and two glitters!

Swatch and Review: NailPak Dakota

Hello again, everyone! I'm so glad to finally be back in business and ready to post!

Today's post is a long overdue one about a product I first saw on an episode of Shark Tank earlier this year. Oddly enough, it was the latest update on last Friday's episode!

Hurricane Sandy Polish Fundraiser

Hi, everyone! It has been a long time since I was able to post on here. Thank you for all of your kind words of support as we work through Day 7 of no power or heat in my house! I was very fortunate to incur very little damage to my home, with only one tree falling away from our house and a few lost shingles/pieces of siding.

However, it is horrifying to see the devastation only a few miles away from me at the Jersey Shore. The Jersey Shore and areas of Staten Island, Queens, Manhattan, and many other places were decimated by Sandy. While I'm unable to currently travel to these areas at daylight to volunteer because law school has resumed for me, and they are scheduling us for weekends to make up for days lost, I wanted to do my part and raise money to help those in need.

Subsequently, I have created two holographic shades that I'm now selling called Empire Strong and Jersey Strong, with 100% of the profits going to two government-verified charities. The money will be evenly divided between the Sandy NJ Relief Fund and the Mayor's Fund for Hurricane Sandy Relief.

I apologize for the lackluster photos, but as my power is out, all I have at my disposal is my iPhone. I will post better ones when my power returns. For some reason, Blogger is making the photos a little wonky. However, they are accurate on the store page.

Empire Strong is an icy blue linear holographic polish.

Jersey Strong is an electric emerald green linear holo polish.

Empire Strong and Jersey Strong are sold in full-sized, 15 mL bottles for $15 each on the Princess Polish Online Store. If you purchase both bottles, any additional bottles of either ship for free. $1.50 is flat rate for the Hurricane Relief polishes. :-D

I know that these bottles are more than my regular LE shades, but my goal is to ensure that each bottle sold ensures at least $5 goes to each charity. I hope that you understand. :)

Please be sure to pass this along to friends and share on Facebook. I promise to update you with our fundraising progress with each passing day!

With love, gratitude, and well wishes,
Princess Polish
