Swatch and Review: Zoya Pixie Dust Part 1

Hello, everyone! Today, I have for you three shades in the Zoya Pixie Dust Collection!

I picked Godiva, Dahlia, and Chyna to show you first!

First up is Zoya Godiva, a tan shade with silver glitter. This is a nude shade, so it is the most office appropriate in the collection.

This one reminded me a little too much of concrete on my skin for my taste, but I think that's also because I'm pretty pale.

And here is Godiva with top coat. I used two layers of Seche Vite to smooth it out. This looks so elegant! I liked this much better with a top coat. It wasn't so concrete-like.

Next up is Dahlia, which also features silver glitter. I always love to wear black, but I never feel like it's school appropriate. Which is funny to me because I have no problem painting my nails in ten different shades of glitter.

But I find that this one gives me a little sparkle that makes it a little less dark and gothy. Not that I mind being rock n roll on the weekends... but I don't think my Property professor would appreciate it as much as you all do.

And oh, how I love this with a top coat. It reminds me a lot of Zoya Storm, but without the flashes of color that come along with holo glitter.

The last shade in this half is Chyna, which is chock FULL of red glitter. I think this one is my favorite because it has a vampiness to it that I'm obsessed with.

And holy moly, look at this with top coat! It has such amazing sparkle to it.

And look at this sparkle shot! I LOVED this one. It is my hands down favorite.

Overall, I'm not into the texture trend in general. But thus far, this is the only one I can actually see myself wearing as a textured shade or glossy. The matte glitter makes it less concrete-like. And I love these for that reason. I think that Chyna is my favorite, but Godiva and Dahlia are also beautiful shades.

I used three coats for each manicure to get the most opaque color. However, I did not use a basecoat.

The only aspect of the shades I didn't like is the fact that they are REALLY difficult to take off. I actually put on a coat of top coat to make it tackier and found that it was easier to remove this way.

Godiva, Dahlia, and Chyna are all available on Zoya.com for $9.

So, what do you all think of the first half of the Pixie Dust Collection?
